Blessings In Our Classrooms

Posted Date: 05/12/2021

Other than parents and family members, it can be said that teachers have the most impact on shaping who our children become. Think about that for a minute. Teachers serve our students, our families, our churches, and our communities in a multitude of ways. They inspire, care, energize, give, play, smile, laugh, lead, share, uplift, cry, motivate, engage, mentor, encourage, worry, stress, work late, and oh yes, they teach! In short, they make A difference and often are THE difference in the lives of children every day.

Pampa ISD is blessed to have so many wonderful educators in our classrooms and working on our campuses. Yes, we work hard every day to ensure that our students learn at high levels and are compassionate, competent, confident, and future-ready. But we do so much more than that! We care about the well-being of our students and have a strong belief in educating the whole child by nurturing a sense of self-worth and purpose.

Any parent knows the blessings that are bestowed upon their children and indeed the entire family when an amazing teacher is present in the classroom. Whether your student is new to Kindergarten or laboring over his last research paper as a Senior in High School, the joy, peace, and positivity that a gifted teacher brings are priceless. May 1-5 in Texas Public Schools is “Teacher Appreciation Week”. National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7-12. Regardless of the date, every day is a great day to celebrate and recognize the work, dedication, and compassion that characterize great teachers.

My message to parents: Please take a moment to thank a teacher for WHO they are and HOW they are as well as thank them for being such blessings in the lives of your student.

My message to teachers: THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!! I am genuinely thankful for you as a Superintendent, but mostly as a Mom! Please know that you are APPRECIATED!
