Update From The Pampa Police Department

Pampa ISD would like to thank the Pampa Police Department and Pampa ISD administrators for their diligent work with this situation. We take all threats seriously and the safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority.

Press Release From The Pampa Police Department

On Tuesday, November 6th the Pampa Police Department received a call of a possible threat to Pampa High School via a social media post.

After the possible threat was received, Pampa ISD went on a secure hold as Pampa PD began to investigate the post. Pampa ISD determined to do a controlled early release due to the possible threat.

Pampa PD Criminal Investigation Division began investigating leads and was able to place a 14-year-old student under arrest for Terroristic Threat, a 3rd-degree felony. The juvenile was turned over to Gray County Juvenile Probation custody and was later incarcerated in a juvenile facility.

The Pampa Police Department would like to thank our incredible staff at Pampa ISD for doing a masterful job of handling this situation and keeping our kids' safety as a priority. As always do not hesitate to contact us if there are any fears or concerns about safety for our kids and school staff. Always remember, see something, say something.
