Elementary Teacher of the Year

A dedicated educator with a servant’s heart, Natalie Saldivar has spent the past decade shaping young minds in Pampa ISD. Currently a 2nd grade math, science, and social studies teacher at Lamar Elementary, she is known for her unwavering commitment to student success, her passion for helping Emergent Bilingual students, and her ability to make learning both engaging and accessible for all.

Natalie’s journey in education began long before she stepped into a classroom. From an early age, she felt called to teach, and though she initially explored other career paths, her heart always led her back to the classroom. A graduate of West Texas A&M University, she has continually pursued professional growth, attending specialized training in bilingual education, math instruction, and coaching to ensure she meets the evolving needs of her students.

In her classroom, Natalie creates a space where students feel safe to explore, take risks, and embrace challenges. She believes that every child is capable of success and works tirelessly to build their confidence. Whether guiding a struggling student through a difficult concept or supporting colleagues with technology integration, Natalie leads with patience, kindness, and a commitment to excellence.

Beyond academics, Natalie is a pillar of support for her team, always the first to offer help, encouragement, and even a well-timed joke. Her colleagues admire her dedication, generosity, and ability to uplift those around her, whether through problem-solving, coaching, or simply being a friend.

Pampa ISD and Lamar Elementary are proud to honor Natalie Saldivar as the 2024-2025 Elementary Teacher of the Year, celebrating her passion for education, her love for her students, and the incredible impact she makes every single day.
