Good evening Pampa ISD Students and Families,
It has been wonderful watching the videos and seeing the posts of your “Workout Wednesday” experiences. Thank you for sharing those with us. It means so much to us to see you making healthy choices while we are apart. Keep up the great work! Tomorrow is Family Fun Day and Crazy Sock day! I can’t wait to see those pictures. Please share them on social media and tag us @PampaISD using #mynewlearningspace, #staywellTEXAS, and #PISD@HomeLearning, or just create your own new #. We just want to hear from you! We miss you!
As you know, we now have a confirmed case in Gray County. I think we all knew that it was just a matter of time; nonetheless, it is sad news. As a district, we have been taking precautions to reduce the risk of exposure and have been practicing social distancing. However, we feel that we need to make even more changes to ensure the safety of our staff.
MEALS
Beginning on Monday, April 6th, we will begin distributing two meals (both lunch and breakfast) at ONE distribution time from 10:30-12:30. We will still distribute at all of the already established locations. This will reduce the risk exposures for every one of our staff as well as our students and their families.
TECHNOLOGY
We will also change our technology service days and times as well to limit exposure risks. Beginning Monday, April 6th, the technology staff will be available on the west side of the Administration building at 1233 N Hobart at the following times:
Mondays 9:00-10:00am
Wednesdays 5:00-6:00pm
Fridays 12:00-1:00pm
COMMUNICATION
We want to answer any questions you may have. Please continue to email us at pampaisdinfo@pampaisd.net
As part of our efforts to limit the risk of exposure, we are changing our phone office hours as well. We will no longer have staff in the buildings answering phones. Through our technology department, we are having lines available to answer your questions from 11:00am-1:00 pm Monday-Friday each week. The number to call is the same, 806-669-4700.
We are also updating our Frequently Asked Questions document on our website. Click Here to see the FAQ
Friends, it looks like we are in this for at least another 30 days. I know we can get through this Pampa—stronger together while being apart. Remember to wash your hands and stay home whenever possible. Please let us know if we can help you and know that we are here for you. Stay strong and keep your chin up---we are #PampaProud!
