Weather Statement

I am sure that many of you are like us and concerned about the impending weather conditions in the Panhandle.  We have been in constant contact with the National Weather Service and have been on a conference call with them for updates as well.  We are doing our best to maintain a safe and orderly school day while also being prudent about making decisions based on something as unpredictable as the Panhandle weather.  They are predicting that Pampa will not see the dangerous weather conditions until after 4:00 pm today.  Because of this, all afterschool activities have been canceled.   As soon as school is released at the normal time, we encourage everyone to go home or to a place where they feel safe.

The Honors Banquet that was scheduled for this evening has been rescheduled for May 22nd at 6:30 pm at MK Brown.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we do our best to keep schedules and respond appropriately to the safety of our students, staff, families, and community.

Prayers for a safe evening for Pampa and the surrounding communities,

Tanya Larkin, Superintendent
