Attention Parents!

Posted Date: 05/13/2021

We want to inform parents that it has been reported to us that an unidentified man tried to persuade an elementary student in the Travis Elementary School district to get into his truck. We have notified the Pampa Police Department and they are conducting an investigation into this allegation. Although we do not yet know the outcome of the investigation, we are planning for student assemblies on safety and the dangers that students must be aware of when approached by strangers. We will hold the assemblies when classes resume in January 2018 and information from the police department will be shared as well. We will provide more detailed information about the student safety assemblies when we return. As always, safety is our number one concern and we will do everything we can to help keep our students safe. We do encourage you to talk to your students about overall safety and the dangers involved when talking to strangers. Police are patrolling school areas and will continue to do so when classes resume in January. We hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas and a SAFE Happy New Year!
